Have you ever seen the movie “The Secret Garden?” Growing up, it was one of my favorites. It enchanted me.
I loved the idea of having a secret garden…my own sacred space…where I could sit, and imagine, and dream…a place that always felt magical.
I imagined having a magical connection to such a place, one that I could visit and, in stillness, watch the moon rise…tonight I did just that. I sat in my “secret garden”… my “sacred garden” as Grandmother Moon rose in the northeast sky. Just one night after being full, she arose radiant, and her glow inspiring. With each inhale I breathed in her light, and with each exhale I expanded to meet her fullness.
Having such a sacred place is truly a treasure for me…one I believe each of us can create and experience. Having such as space, whether indoors or out, offers us the opportunity to reconnect with our authentic self. To let go of the daily struggles and challenges. To reconnect with our vision and dreams. And to reconnect with natures rhythms and cycles.
So tonight I invite you to step outside and witness the beautiful full moon…and I leave you with this question…Where is your Secret Garden?

Secret Garden Quotes
“The spell was broken. My uncle learned to laugh, and I learned to cry. The secret garden is always open now. Open, and awake, and alive. If you look the right way, you can see that the whole world is a garden.” – Frances Hodgson Burnett
“As long as you have a garden you have a future and as long as you have a future you are alive.” -Frances Hodgson Burnett
“If I had a flower for every time I thought of you I could walk in my garden forever.” -Alfred Lord Tennyson
“I used to envy the father of our race, dwelling as he did among the new-made fields and plants of Eden; but I do so no more, for I have discovered that I also live in “creation’s dawn.” The morning starts still sing together, and the world, not yet half made becomes more beautiful every day.” -John Muir
