Happy Full Moon!

ImageTonight is full moon, and the full moon is a wonderful day to reflect on your personal intentions, clarify them and then empower your stones with your intentions.

The full moon is a brilliant light that fills both the night sky and brings a fresh light to your dreams.

Here are a couple suggestions to guide your experience…

1.  Listen to your heart and acknowledge what is needing to be heard.  What is your heart asking you to step into or embrace in your life experience

2.  Focus your hearts desire into an intention.  Bring it into an “I Am…” phrase.

3.  Connect with the energy…allow yourself to engage each of your senses and feel the intention as though it already exists.

4.  Hold your stone in your hands.  Use your breath to blow the energy of that intention into the stone.

5.  Place your stone on a window sill or right on the earth in the moonlight, let the moon bring it’s bright light to your stone and to your intention.  Be sure to collect your stone early in the morning…sunlight is clearing and we want the stone to hold the moons power.

6.  Carry your stone with you every day for the next 28 days…the first 14 will be a time of quiet, going within, gaining understanding and also strengthening yourself to live your intention.  The second 14 days will be your window of opportunity to step into your vision!

Have fun, and post your experience below

Exploring New Territory

Greetings!Lori at Niagara Falls

It is Amazing what we can find when we dare to travel a new trail.  This past week I spent a lot of time doing just that “exploring new territory.”  Both externally (like new hiking trails) and internally, and I’m always intrigued by how my external territory mirrors my internal territory.

When we step off the well paved path onto one that is new, our destination is often less predictable.  And often our minds may become flooded with questions…for me it’s often about the safty of the trail.  But I also know, for me, those questions are simply my internal code asking me if I really have the strength to blaze the trail of my dreams.

We each have an opportunity to blaze the trail of our dreams and it takes courage to navigate the new path…but when we do, we create an opportunity to see our lives with new eyes!

I encourage you to explore a new trail this week…or even drive a different route on your way to work…notice how differently your experience that journey?  Have fun!

Where have You traveled with your Journey Jewels?

Do you take time for Sacred Travel?  This is something I greatly enjoy…and it is a regular part of my life…whether to far away places, across town to my favorite trail, or down the street to a quiet spot in the park, each journey is sacred and offers an opportunity to refresh my spirit.

When I was young my grandparents had an RV, and on the side of it was a map of the United States.  Every time they traveled to a new state they would add a colored picture of that state to their map.  I’m sure you’ve seen these maps…nearly every RV has one.

Well, this map inspired me, and created within me a desire to fill my own map with vibrant colors.  As I have grown, so has my map…it is no longer one of the only the US, but one of the world…a map so full of amazing places to see, experience, and connect with that it really is not possible for one person to experience all of them in a lifetime.  The map I now see is one that lights up with a community of travelers who honor and celebrate the sacredness of our planet Earth.  Who love to step off the beaten trail to create their own, who are willing to let go of their plans to experience the unexpected.

I believe that you are a part of this community!

As I begin creating this new map I would like to invite you to share with me a picture of yourself on sacred journey wearing Your Journey Jewels…scroll down for more information.

Have a beautiful week and enjoy finding time for Your own Sacred Journey!

Do You Make Space for Your Dreams?

Do you make space for your dreams to grow?

Making space for your dreams

About this time every year my husband spends countless hours in the garden digging up plants, splitting them, putting pieces in pots and then asking where he can create more garden space.  Yes, we have a lot of garden space yet we have nearly the same amount of grass space.  So with this question we begin to dream together about where the new garden will be.

It’s so much fun, and yesterday as we were doing this I began to see how it is also a great metaphor for the importance of creating space for our dreams to grow.

I know not everyone loves gardening as we do, but I do know the phrase “spring cleaning” is one we are all quite familiar with.  Aside from the obvious reasons for cleaning our physical house…the process is incredibly therapeutic.  As we clean our physical home we are also cleaning our spiritual space.  When we let go of outgrown clothing, old treasures, and even old files on our computers we create space for fresh new growth.

As you reflect on your own dreams and intentions…I invite you to ask yourself if you have space for them to grow?  Take some time this week to create that space…and take a deep breath enjoying the openness it creates!

Have a beautiful week!

What are Your Dreams

I have spent this past week exploring my dreams and how I can bring them to life.  It has been incredibly joyful, but sometimes I overlook the next essential steps to creating those dreams as my reality.

Each of us has dreams whether they include creating loving relationships, finding a career we are passionate about, or even crazy outlandish ideas.  Every dream we have is our dream because we have the ability to make it our reality.

For me, crystals and stones have been, and continue to be, powerful allies in creating their reality.  This week, in working with my own ideas, visions and dreams I recognized 4 Key Steps to making my dreams my reality.  I shared them in this video.

Enjoy & Happy Dreaming!

Much Love,

Happy Full Moon!

Well…it is Friday, April 6th, and a full moon.  It has been a very interesting day to say the least.  It began with my dog Pele injuring his right leg as he ran outside this morning and then shortly after getting him back in the house and settled, two finches crashed into our front window.  I looked out the window and saw one laying in a shrub.  I went out to check on it almost certain it was dead…but it appeared to be breathing.  I saw another on the ground looking a bit mangled, also breathing faintly.  For a moment I paused, frozen with sadness and a deep feeling of unknowing…what can I do?…how can I help…can I help?…or is death inevitable for them.  My mind raced with questions…and at the end of every thought was “Lori…these are birds, finches, your yard is full of them, don’t worry about them, let them do their thing…if they die, they die.”  But that phrase filled me with even more sadness and I couldn’t bare the thought of walking away.

So I reached down to the one laying on the ground.  I scooped her up in my hands and we sat there for a moment.  Almost instantly I knew I needed to pull the other one out of the bush, so I did.  I sat with two very dazed finches in my hands and didn’t really know what to do next.  So I prayed…I prayed and imagined I were St. Francis. I imagined I was talking to the birds and in that moment I knew the love in my hands had the ability to heal these birds.

They remained nestled into my hands and then eventually something happened, they became more alert, and then they looked at me wondering how they arrived in my hands, yet knowing it was a safe space.  I was stunned, stunned that I was able to pick them up and stunned that they were becoming lively.Finches in Lori's hands

My husband came out with the camera…all three of us posed for some pictures.  Then one flew away.  The other, still a bit dazed sat in my hand.  Lori's hands & finches

Lori & purple finchThis little lady hung out with me a bit longer.  We had a little chat (ok, maybe the chat was in my imagination, but none the less it was quite meaningful to me).  She allowed me to stroke her feathers, to talk with her and to just look at each other with complete awe.  This was the first time I have ever held a wild bird in my hands, and it was absolutely amazing!  I’m so happy Chris was able to snap some pictures!

7th Chakra – Crown Chakra

This morning…as I have everyday for the past week…I awoke singing “Joy & Freedom. Passion & Presence.   This is your life. This is your life.”

Yes, this is an actual song that I have been listening to nearly every day for the past 2 weeks, but this morning as I arose singing those words I began reflecting on this past week and saw how those words were a part of every experience I had.  I saw how each experience was filled with opportunities to joyfully connect with the Divine!..From spending time in nature and welcoming the spring season with friends, family, and blissfilled music to celebrating the 90th birthday of my great-aunt Marie.

This week was truly one of “joy, freedom, passion, and presence” and it feels perfect that each of those opportunities occurred leading up to todays message where I am including the image and stones for the Crown Chakra.

I invite you to bring “joy, freedom, passion and presence” to every experience this day offers you!..because “this is Your life…this is Your life.”

p.s. I hope you will be able to join me this week for my free conference call 8 Stones to Empower Your Journey ..Tuesday, March 27th at 7:00 pm cst.  I am so excited for this event…I don’t want you to miss it…register now!
