Passion, Power, Purpose

I believe that at some level each of us desires to live our lives with passion, power and purpose.  Those 3 little words really hold a charge and with them a desire to step up and bring every facet of our lives into alignment with our own passion and purpose.

One of my many passions is stones.

It’s one that I have been exploring and embracing for as long as I can remember.  But it wasn’t until I committed to creating gemstone jewelry that I began to feel the power of their transformation.

For the past several months I have been taking time to connect with each of the unique stone types in my collection…to photograph it, listen to its message, and then share that message.  It’s been powerful.  I have learned so much and this little journey has transformed how I work with stones.

My most recent study has been pyrite.  This heavy little stone packs quite the punch.  When I wear it I feel like my internal battery is charged.  I’m focused, on task and I flow from one activity to the next with minimal distraction…it’s like a cure for my creative spirit that often feels a bit add.

Not only does it keep me focused, but it seems to be a master manifestor.  Yes, I did actually say that.  Pyrite is a master manifestor.  Every time I place this stone on my wrist I become clear about my wants, desires and dreams…and not only that…my experience of life is coming into alignment with those desires.  It is incredibly refreshing.

I’m loving this stone and I am so excited to share the latest addition to the Journey Jewels collections:  Passion, Power, & Purpose bracelets….Shop Now

5th Chakra – Throat Chakra

Wow…this past week has been incredible…full moon, warmer weather, more sunlight, and even a bit of fresh, fast melting snow.  Yes, I have offically been hit with spring fever!

With all of the changes happening outside, I am finding my self changing as well.  Over the past 5 weeks, as I have been sending out my newsletters focusing on each of the chakras, I too have been digging deep, connecting with, and exploring that particular chakra.

Then…enters my time of preparation for the throat chakra…and…I lost my voice.  For about 7 days the only words I expressed were a near whisper.  Frustrating yes, but when I finally got past how angry I was about being sick and this time of forced silence I had an opportunity to really listen to my heart and my own inner voice…the one without words, the one that speaks only the language of my soul…the language of love.  What I heard, and what I am honoring, is a calling to share my voice in new ways.

I am filled with excitement about what is to come, and I am so excited to share this with you!  Watch your mailbox this week Tuesday…

Much love,
Lori A Andrus

I LOVE to Dance

It’s not secret…I love to dance!  On most days…you can find me dancing around my studio while creating, dreaming, and visioning.  Dancing opens my heart.  It allows me a method of expressing and honoring emotions, fears, and celebrations.  It creates a flow of energy that melds into creative expression….that melds into art…I love it!

Toni Bergins & Lori Andrus at Midwest Yoga ConferenceNearly two years ago I had an opportunity to meet Toni Bergins founder of JourneyDance™…I instantly fell in love with the JourneyDance™ process…I could feel my heart open, expand, and simply release all of the emotion bound in my body.  I found myself diving deep into my subconscious and allowing all that lives there to flow and be expressed.

Today, I’m thrilled to share with you one of Toni’s most recent videos…created by Cleveland Groove.  And I am thrilled to point out that Toni is wearing her Journey Jewels necklace and earrings!  Her necklace, also a prayer mala, “Journey of Infinite Love” is available at http://journeydance.com/store

Creative Edge…

Lori Andrus in Sedona“If we are going to learn to soar, we have to know ourselves as well as we know our craft.”
– Dewitt Jones

I just love this quote!  And this past week I took some time to do just that.  I traveled to sunny Arizona where I stepped off the beaten path to not only explore the Arizona landscape, but explore my own landscape.

It was wonderful…

I hiked, paused to watch the sunset, spent time with old friends, made new friends, and even took time to sit upon a red rock and enjoy the scenery while playing my flute for hours.

For me, sacred escapes such as this are essential to recharging my creative spirit…the deeper I know me…the further I am able to push my creative boundaries.

Each of us has a creative edge to push regardless of whether or not we acknowledge ourselves as creative.

“If creativity is falling in love with the world, then in every act I have the potential for doing something creative, my life can be my art. ”  -Dewitt Jones Lori & Amethyst

I invite you to take a moment today and “fall in love with the world.”

Shine Brightly!
