A Little Music makes me Shine….

It has been an incredibly busy time…both in my life and in the Journey Jewels studio.

Lori & Wade MorissetteLast weekend I had an opportunity to meet and enjoy the live music of Wade Morissette.  He was in the Milwaukee area at YogAsylum for the weekend offering an evening of live music and a great yoga class.  His music has been a long time favorite of mine…and one of his songs (So Alive) is actually the background music in a video I collaborated with Cleveland Groove to create about my love for stones, creating jewelry and Journey Jewels… watch the video

I love listening to music while creating…I sing along, dance and get silly in my studio…Wade’s music is often at the top of the list…in particular the song ‘So Alive.’  It reminds me to enjoy every moment and every breath and to allow myself to express the beauty and fullness of being ‘So Alive’ in everything I do.

How will you express the beauty and fullness of your life today?..How will you let your Light Shine?

Much love,

Are You ready to Shine?

The Iowa City Yoga Festival came to a close Sunday evening, and everyone was radiating a beautiful yoga glow.  It was powerful to be surrounded by such a collective energy, and it reminded me how important it is to embrace our authentic self and allow our own light to shine brightly.

“We are all meant to shine….And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.” -Marianne Williamson

Iowa City Yoga Fesival Throughout the weekend I connected with countless amazing people who truly embodied and expressed the beauty of what it means to live in the “Heartland.”  Being a Midwest girl, I’ve often heard that phrase, but over the past weekend I experienced the word “Heartland” differently and recognized that knowing what it is to live in the land of the heart is the key to truly shining!

I invite you to live from the land of your heart…to truly shine with love for yourself and for others!Lori & James Miller

With much Love, Shine Brightly!
